Privacy and personal data
The information you send us through the forms on this website (name, phone number, email, address, a description of your donation, your request or your offer to get involved, or your seat reservation) is sent only to the association Visite aux Orphelins. It reaches us by email, through the Brevo email service, from the association's Gmail account (Google) or through the Resend email service, or by WhatsApp if you choose to send it that way. When you reserve a seat, we send your reservation number to the email address you give us, then the updated details if the date, times or place change (and a reminder before the event); when you make a donation and give your email address, we send you a thank-you email there. Your reservation (name, phone number, email and reservation number) is also recorded in the association's reservation list at Brevo, so that the same email address cannot reserve two seats and so that we can welcome you on the day; this list is deleted after the event.
- Why? To collect your donation, thank you, answer your request for help, manage your reservation, or contact you if you would like to become a volunteer, a member or a partner.
- Who sees it? Only the board members in charge of following up on donations, requests, reservations and volunteers.
- For how long? As long as it takes to handle your donation, your request or your reservation; then it is deleted. If you join the association, for as long as you are involved with us.
- Never sold or passed on to anyone else.
Online donations by MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money or bank card are processed by nyole, on its own payment page. We never see your PIN or your bank details: nyole sends us the amount of your donation and, if you gave them, your name, your phone number and your email address. They are recorded in the association's list of donations received, which is not published: the website only shows the fundraiser total.
To know how many people visit the website and which pages they read most, we use the visitor statistics of our host, Vercel. They are anonymous: no cookies, no data that could identify you, and visit information is deleted after 24 hours. They only load if you accept them in the cookie banner. We also use Google Analytics, by Google: it sets cookies (“_ga”), kept for up to 13 months, and sends Google your IP address, which Google does not store, and the pages you view. It is not used for any advertising. Both only load if you accept visitor statistics in the cookie banner; if you withdraw your consent, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted.
To see or delete your information, write to visiteauxorphelin@gmail.com.
This website does not use advertising cookies. On your first visit, a banner asks you to accept or refuse the visitor statistics and the Instagram videos: refusing is as easy as accepting, and without your consent nothing is loaded. Instagram videos are provided by Instagram (Meta), which may then set its own cookies. Only what the website needs to work remains: sign-in to the admin area, anti-robot protection of forms (Cloudflare) and donation payments (nyole). Your choice is kept in your browser for 6 months; you can change it at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page.
